Drop Packer Machine Models

What types of products can Hamrick's drop packers handle?

Rigid containers such as bottles and cans are the most run on drop packers.

Are drop packers compatible with different sizes and shapes?

Yes, each size and pack pattern of product would have a set of change parts which include a packing head and lane guide spacers. Changeover can be achieved in 10-15 minutes max. A multi-lane adjustment system option is available for shorter changeover times.

How do drop packers improve efficiency in production lines?

Drop packers are typically some of the fastest machines in the industry for top load case packing. Hamrick 600 series drop packers can pack in tandem (2 or more cases per cycle) which makes them even faster.

What is the average packing speed of your drop packers?

Up to 30 cycles per minute on a single case pack; up to 50 cases per minute when packing two cases per cycle.

Can the machines be easily adjusted for different product runs?

Yes, with the above-mentioned change parts, and a recipe change on the touch screen, you are ready to run a new product.

What maintenance is required for drop packers, and do you offer support?

Routine Preventative Maintenance (PM) is required for optimal performance of the machinery. Yes, we do offer technical support through phone and email service, as well as paid service calls if/when needed.

How much space do your drop packers require on the production floor?

The actual floorspace needed is really application dependent, but roughly 20’ in length by 5’ in width. Contact sales@hamrickmfg.com to discuss your specific application.

Are your drop packers energy-efficient?

We design our drop packers to be as energy efficient as possible. On average, they require a 30amp electrical disconnect, but don’t reach that as FLA. The Servo drop packers use very little air, and we have also designed a version that is fully electric; no air required.
