Compact Palletizer

Compact Robotic Palletizer for Space-Constrained Production Lines

The Hamrick Compact Robotic Palletizer is an automated end-of-line solution engineered for facilities with limited floor space. Built with a FANUC M-710iC, M-410iC, or R-1000 industrial robot and R-30iB controller, this compact palletizing cell delivers reliable performance in a smaller footprint without sacrificing functionality or speed.

Despite its compact design, the palletizer handles payloads up to 407 lbs (185 kg) and palletizes RSC cases, trays, bliss boxes, or pails at rates up to 12 cycles per minute. The 1-in/2-out configuration features customizable interlocked safety guarding and light curtains, allowing the system to operate safely alongside workers while maintaining high throughput.

When to Choose a Compact Robotic Palletizer

The Compact Robotic Palletizer is the ideal choice for single-line operations where floor space is at a premium but production demands exceed what manual palletizing can handle. This system is well-suited for manufacturers transitioning from manual labor to automation for the first time, as well as facilities adding robotic palletizing to existing lines without extensive reconfiguration.

Compared to Hamrick’s Collaborative Palletizer, the compact palletizer offers faster cycle times (up to 12 picks/places per minute vs. 6 picks/places per minute) and higher payload capacity (407 lbs with industrial robot vs. 55 lbs with collaborative robot).

For operations requiring multi-SKU handling, pallet dispensers, or integration with stretch wrappers and conveyors, Hamrick’s Complex Robotic Palletizer offers a more customizable solution. The Compact Palletizer is optimized for straightforward, single line infeed applications where simplicity, reliability, and a smaller footprint are the priorities.

Applications and Industries

Hamrick compact robotic palletizers are deployed across a wide range of industries where reliable, automated case handling is required:

  • Food & Beverage: case-packed bottles, cans, jars, pouches
  • Pharmaceuticals: cartons, blister packs, bottled products
  • Consumer Goods: boxed products, plastic containers, bagged items
  • Manufacturing: automotive parts, electronics, hardware, industrial components
  • Agriculture: seed bags, fertilizer, feed products

The flexible end-of-arm tooling accommodates RSC cases, trays, pails, and bliss boxes in a variety of sizes and weights. Each system is configured to the customer’s specific product mix, speed requirements, and pallet pattern requirements.
